Key: In cryptography, a key is an algorithmic value applied to unencrypted text to create encrypted text. The length of the key usually determines how difficult it will be to decrypt the text in a given message.

Kilobyte: A unit of measure for data storage. One kilobyte is equal to 1,024 bytes or 8,192 bits.
